Teaching

I teach private lessons for students of all ages and experience levels.  I emphasize a strong technical foundation and discipline in approach, but I tailor my methodology based on the student's individual goals.  There are many reasons people learn music, and just as many fruitful paths to learning it.

As part of their technical training, students will learn to properly treat and pay attention to their bodies as they learn the harp.  This is crucial in the prevention of overuse injuries and in sustained long-term playing enjoyment.  

I incorporate music theory and other related concepts into my lessons as needed to enrich and expand the understanding of the harp.  I also offer beginner level piano lessons. Piano skills aren't necessary to learning the harp, but are helpful to a general understanding of music and music theory.

At this time I I am only offering delivery lessons at your location.  I plan on offering lessons out of my studio in the future.
